Sales Tax Policy

We charge Illinois state sales tax (7.75%) to customers with a billing address in the state of Illinois or any customer making a purchase at our location. The only exceptions are those who are tax-exempt and have a current Tax ID number. It is necessary that we have a copy of the appropriate form on file.

The warranty on equipment varies according to the manufacturer. We will be happy to obtain this information for you. We stand behind the products we sell and will help in any way we can to ensure success in using our products. When expertise is needed beyond our ability, we’ll find someone to help with your inquiry.

When a particular method of shipping or packing is required, please make a note. Small orders of paper, or a few sheets of very large paper may be rolled in a tube. If you want your paper flat, please specify. Because of shipping costs, the shipping charge may actually exceed the cost of an item in some cases. We try to ship the most economical way.
Quotations: Price quotations by mail, fax or e-mail will be honored for 30 days from date of quotation. We can only guarantee price quotations that are given in writing.

Returns

Please do not return anything to us without pre-approval. Merchandise returned as a result of a customer order error will be subject to a 15% restocking charge. We cannot take back old product. Because paper is fragile no returns or exchanges are allowed. Pre-sensitized plates may not be returned as they may have been exposed. Damages and shortages must be reported immediately – it is very difficult to sort out a problem months after the fact. We certainly will stand behind our products and if defective will replace the product. Sometimes if a product does not work in the manner expected it is thought to be defective. This is not always the case. Inks, for instance, may vary widely in viscosity. Some are very stiff and others, looser. Inks stiffen with age. They are still “good” but may need to be modified. If you find a product working differently than usual, call us and we can sort it out.

Prices & Payments

Prices are subject to change. Shipping charges are difficult to pre-determine. Our products range from feathers to cases of metal. A general rule of thumb is 10-15% of the total order. Prices are determined by weight and zone and the minimum shipping charge for UPS starts at approximately $5.00. Additional charges to the base shipping include: oversize packages, hazardous materials, residential fee and address correction fees. UPS charges $5-10 per package if the address is incomplete or wrong. A missing apt number or wrong zip – misspelled street names – these are all subject to this added charge. We try to ensure that packages are labeled correctly. In cases of our error, there will not be any additional fee, but if an address is given incorrectly, the customer is charged for the additional shipping fee. Feel free to call and obtain a more precise shipping charge.
